Logline: Cassandra’s date for the Pirate Zombie Halloween Party is a guy that she met on-line and is seeing for the first time at the party. Of course, she doesn’t know he’s a real zombie, along with some of his friends, and it’s hard to tell who is and who isn’t. Romance, suspense, action, pies in the face, zombies bursting into flames – this zombie pic has it all!
Logline: Several Baby Boomers are mysteriously invited to a concert at their home town, where they find themselves questioning their adult happiness, as they slowly become physically younger, and they are given a choice – whether to leave and go back to their present adult life, or to magically stay young forever.
Logline: Several select characters are invited to an extravagant real estate agent’s idea of an Open House – a sleep-over at a Haunted Hotel, but after hiding the truth about the history of the hotel, previously an insane asylum, she soon finds that this is the biggest mistake of her career and life.
Logline: Lara practices astral projection; her boyfriend, Nathan, is an astronaut, skeptical about Lara’s "hobby." But when his space craft and fellow astronauts blindly face danger in outer space, Lara must use her gift of astral travel to rescue them. Although Nathan doesn’t believe Lara’s story of heroism, in the end something she says convinces everyone that she was there and was telling the truth.
Excerpts
Treatment
Logline: “Muffin,” a 20-ish, very cute, been-around character, checks in at the Monster Motel, after a night of partying – but party night is not over; Boris needs a body for his gay werewolf’s brain transplant, Danny needs a new vampire mate, and Prince, who is presently a talking dog with an English accent, needs a kiss to break his spell and turn “hunk” again – a party gets it all together, with a corpse-like Elvis, and lots of fun!
Synopsis
Treatment
Logline: Marcia is a stoner, who makes an unusual street purchase – one that changes the meaning of “getting high” forever – but when she tries to explain “Exotic Shake” to her best friend and boyfriend, they think she needs to seek therapy – until they see "the creature" for themselves.
Logline: A woman sorts through her recently deceased father’s belongings, and she is surprised to find evidence of the purchase of several pieces of jewelry for a woman she knows nothing about. She is determined to find out who this woman is, if the woman knows about her father’s death, or even perhaps contributed to it, especially after she receives another trinket in the mail, a pair of ruby heart earrings.
Logline: Logline:
The concert tickets are Helen’s (she believes), after all, she was with Walter before Judy was, so she’s determined to retrieve them from Walter’s apartment, but Walter brings his new girlfriend home while Helen is there, and mirrored encounters between girlfriends ensue and get weird.
Note: The filmmaker will find opportunity in the clever use of the mirrors in this short, as the camera angles show the two women looking at each other, through the mirrors, without the other knowing. Timing is also essential.
